Brett Messer's 2024 Season is ending early. "I have not said anything publicly since it was assumed my hip was the leading injury. Several MRIs reveal the prevailing issue is herniated discs at L4-L5 and L5-S1 with severe neural foraminal narrowing. Undergoing season ending surgery in October and expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of 2025 season."
“While it is incredibly difficult to miss my first events in ten years; I now have clarity on the injury that I first sustained while working out in gym during the off-season in January. Even playing through tremendous pain the first half of the season I’m playing the best paintball I’ve ever played. It’s a bittersweet moment to have to take this time off. I’m thrilled to be back at 100% which my doctors tell me will be around the start of February. Despite a banged up core, I’m confident in my teammates and our coaching staff to rally all way the through Sunday afternoon in Chicago.” - Brett Messer
